Mike is a sinner. I am a sinner...and you? You are a sinner too. So from one sinner to another -- Can you open you hand and drop your stone, .. thorny crown, blood stained robe, bruising fists, boney whip, rugged cross made of wood, nails, and spear, your mocks and your sneers ? It's only those who think that there is somehow a righteous bone in their body somewhere, that come to funeral of sinners with a stone instead of a nail pierced hand. Forgive. Forgive. Please forgive 70x7.

Sorry, his whole story was based on lies. How about Truth. Truth. Truth.

You shall not bear false witness.

Just,

Is it "false witness" to only tell one part of a story.

In other words, is it truth-telling to state how a man sinned, but to completely ignore the fact that he went through a long process of repentance and being restored as Mr Warnke has done?

is rose still his wife?

Seeker,

That is wishful thinking. Mike's "repentance" was manufactured, and the alleged ministerial board made up of people already involved with him.

I think you aren't too interested in "seeking" myself. I suspect I've seen you post on Mike Warnke-related materials before...

Mr Trott, I sure am glad that we have you to trust in when we are so ignorant that we can't judge whether another person has repented or not for their own acknowledged sins. In reality, I know you think you are the authority on virtually all subjects, yet your extremist liberal views obviously cloud your opinions on a regular basis and have once again led you WRONGLY to a false conclusion (the false view that I have connections to Warnke).

I have read the info about the repentance process Warnke went through on the Web. He, unlike Swaggert, et al appears to have shown effort at repentance and until proof to the contrary, I give him the reasonable (and Christian) benefit of the doubt.

While I do not know him personally, I will await the PROOF that you MUST have that Warnke is telling us lies once more (you wouldn't state that he again is telling lies without PROOF, now, would you?).

Please provide the evidence so we ALL can evaluate it, since some of us think for ourselves.

Where did the other links go? I would like to have them back because I can't afford to buy CDs right now.

First off.. as far as I have read he exaggerated his testimony, and he was caught in some lies. We are all sinners, and there are some of us that are even false converts. People on here deciding whether he really did repent afterwards or not.. how would you know that? It's easy to throw stones at public figures who fall and stumble, but I say most of us do at some point. Maybe not as hard, but we are all sinners with the nature of a sinner. I would think that he grew and got "real" with God after such an experience, but who knows? But if we discount all Christian Celebrities and their art because they fell or stumbled along the way, you better throw out your Amy Grant CDs, your Stryper CDs, your Sandi Patti CDs and maybe look in the mirror and throw that out while you are at it. God forgives sin, and it's not our place to judge. Besides that, God and His Word can be used in powerful ways, even by people that aren't worthy of using it. Don't under estimate the power of God and don't play Him because only when you are perfect you can judge. You judge a tree by it's fruit. Well, Mike's work gave a lot of Christians a lot of joy and fun over the years. Say a prayer for him, hope he is spiritually fit and learned from what he did, but you should stop judging him. It's not your job. That comes from the Word of God, not from me.

While we're throwing away media of imperfect celebrities who have been accused of impropriety we would have to include Resurrection Band, since I hear that some of their songs were contributed by a bitter blog troll who exaggerates his credentials by claiming to be more qualified to judge the repentance of a man than those who that man submitted to in repentance.
