"LOOKING FOR DISCIPLINE OF THE GROOVE BY RECESS" I so forgot about that band too.

a huge thanks to johnny and daddy o for the Boy's Club demo tracks.

For the uniniciated, Boy's Club was Sim Wilson and Gym Nicholson's (Undercover) band when Ojo was doing doing his solo album Relative back in the late eighties. Some of these demo tracks were recorded later by Undercover on the Balance for Power album.

Johnny, please list Boy's Club on the roster of artists with the links.

Thanks again daddy-o "hey daddy o where you goin' so fast".........I have been trying to find these tracks for years!

Fear Not was basically the second album by Larry Worley (Not sure if the other band members were the same for Fear Not and Love Life.

Love Life (1991 commercial metal) release on the Blonde Vinyl record label. Hope that helps!

As you can see above, Bill Walden from The Fourth Watch commented on the board! How cool is that. Please go to reverbnation to preview the tracks--------great album.

Bill sent me a copy of the album a few months ago and I ripped it to mp3---really clean copy too. He said I could post it here. (I am going on vacation, but when I get back, I am going to get with Johnny to officially post it on the board with better quality than what is on reverbnation.)

Eighties fans rejoice---another rare one is coming soon!

I'm looking for "Slaughter of the Innocent" by Undercover. It was a mail order single, but it was supposedly on the Volume 1 reissue.

Anonymous said...

I'd love to see the solo album by The Crucified's guitarist, Greg Minier, simply titled "Minier." Great thrash record if I remember.

Also how about Violet Burning's "Strength" record?

Just so everyone knows, The Choir, DC Talk, and One Bad Pig albums are all available on itunes for purchase. Disc might be out of print but the music is there, AND you're supporting the band!

Recon was recently rereleased and shouldn't be too hard to find. It's also got some bonus tracks.

õ¿õ said...

Just because a album is on itunes does NOT mean that each download has monies paid to the artist. iTunes and other services like them pay a flat fee to the artist and then hope to recoup or make money over time. The artist already got paid regardless.

I remember a rocking instrumental tune I heard (and had a partial cassette recording of) on Christian radio back in the EARLY 80's that started with spooky synth music with a deep voice quoting the first few verses of John 1, ending with "and the darkness has never mastered it." From there it went into this great jam. Ring any bells?
This has been a mystery for more than 25 years as I've never heard it since. I'd love to get a title if someone recognizes it.

Thanks.

There are two comedy albums that are next to impossible to find:

1) Sherry Zimmerman & Billy Squires - "Pillars Of The Assembly": follows the exploits of befuddled church members Henry and Doris. A later CD compilation of material by Zimmerman and her husband exists, but this is the original (PAX 2408). I saw this show up on GEMM briefly once, but it was gone before I could get it.

2) Dan Pratt - "The Six O'Clock Apocalypse": The title performance is a humorous mock news report of Biblical events. The only copy of this I've found online is sitting in a store gathering dust in New Zealand, and they refuse to ship vinyl records overseas.

Hey, I just wanted to request Philadelphia - Search and Destroy (1985). The album cover is a bit scary (and controversial amongst Christians back in 85), but it's solid Christian Metal in the vein of Saint, Messiah Prophet, Stryper, Deliverance, and Bloodgood. By the way, www.anticlanklan.com (ACK)is my gaming clan, and we're basically a laid-back and relaxed community, and not competitive (hence the anti-clan gimmick).

Still looking for an active link for early 77s stuff. Also early Resurrection Band stuff.

WOW!! I'm amazed how quickly someone provided the Tramaine Hawkins music.
I've asked for this next recording before & hoping someone may have a copy they can provide to Johnny. It's Steve Taylor's "Limelight". It was never on CD, so, if anybody has made a copy for CD, please get it to this site. Thanks.

Hi
I have been trying to find 'Rest Awhile' by the Fisherfolk [1982 I think] for some years. It's not available here in England.
I have bought it in the past, years ago, on cassette, but it went missing or was not returned to me maybe.

Greetings from JulieMillerFan, formerly Ebay's largest CCM dealer, now missionary to Taiwan.

Before I left for Taiwan I digitally converted (and archived) THOUSANDS of CD's, Albums & tapes knowing that I would never come back to America soil again and also knowing that the product that ran through my hands was pure gold in many cases.

I've taken a short look at the list here and know already that I have Paul Field archived, Bob Cull's stuff, the person who asked for Rachel Rachel (got both...) and so much more.

What you don't have, I Probably do, so we should probably try to work something out... I've needed to catalog my archives for years now anyway.

Shoot me an Email --- Wayne Shuman at BethelAbba@GMail.com and maybe I can help, provided I don't find the band out there selling it somewhere. (I also think we should support the bands... they paid dearly to get this stuff out to us originally, so why be stingy towards helping them out. The record labels aren't helping... and neither are you if you don't support them in some way.) (enough preaching, sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine)

Laters

Oh, and I am presently looking for Terms of Peace "Thunder Cracks". Been missing my copy for over 20+ years.

In Grace

wayne

JulieMillerFan said...

BTW: For the record --- I have nearly 3 Gigs of CCM archived, nearly 5000 full albums. I worked on archiving things for nearly 10 years before leaving the US. So literally I might honestly be able to fill any list you throw at me.

Daybreak--"After the Rain." It is kind of old, but has a more upbeat old Phil Keaggy sound and great message. Although, they have a greater vocal capability like the Statler Brothers, but not country, definitely a rock sound like Phil's style. May only have this one LP.

Daybreak--"After the Rain."

Great LP, I don't like 70's Christian rock that much, but this is perhaps the only one that I can listen over and over again. Like old Phil Keaggy, CCR contemporary sound. Starts off with song called "Summer Sun/Who's fool are you."
