Hey guys, fyi, the Servant album you want is available at cdbaby and probably radrockers too. It was reissued in 2006 by Retroactive records. Sounds great----I know because I own a copy.
I do have In 3D - Barrage, (Youth) Choir - Voices In Shadows, and Mad At the World - Seasons of Love, which I'll have to rip and upload later.
If only I'd ever get set up to digitize all my old records and tapes, I have tons and tons of stuff from the late 70's and most of the 80's. ^_^ But I do have a lot of stuff on cd too.

Thanks for the link to amiestreet.com. F.Y.I. They are selling credits for half-price for Memorial Day. Yes... the Talking Drums released three albums in the early to mid 1980s on Sticky Music from the UK:
Reassembly Fighting to the Finish Demos
One of their songs, "Courage," is available on a compilation of rare tracks called Computer Incantations For World Peace. You can download the track for free here:
Farrell & Farrell - Manifesto Kim Boyce - Time & Again D-Boy - The Lyrical Strength of One Street Poet Charlie Peacock - The Secret of Time White Heart - Freedom White Heart - Emergency Broadcast Tim Miner - I Know You Think You Know The Choir - Wide-Eyed Wonder Steve Fry - We Are More Than Conquerers That group that sings "Best Friend" that goes "I'd like to introduce you, to my Best Friend"...It also goes "I know Him well. I talk to him, everyday. Noone can tell" I forgot the rest.
Ok, I need The Archers album "All Systems Are Go." Does anyone have it and are you willing to post a link. This beauty is looooooooooooogn out of print.
How about some Geoff Moore and the Distance? I think the album was called "Why should the devil have all the good music?", or that was the most recognizable song.
You can get A.D Reconstructions from http://rapidshare.com/files/106257503/AD__Kerry_Livgren__-_Reconstructions__1986_._www.kissmar.blogspot.com.rar.html
Another request: Does anyone have the Imitators EP? They had two releases, an EP and their full length "Once And For All." I have the full length but cannot find the EP anywhere, not even to purchase (except for cassette, which is such a horrible format). BTW, you can listen to the EP on youtube:
I'd love to hear "Mr. Sunshine" by Veil (formerly Veil of Ashes).
Also would like to see Sparrow's 10th Anniversary. I've been looking for a copy of that since the late 1980's and would be grateful for anyone who knows how to find a copy.
I had Talking Drums on LP years ago. I remember a Eurythmics (sp?) sound.
B.J. Thomas "Home Where I Belong" Evie "Mirror"
Stryper-Yellow & Black Attack---NOT the remixed version available on CD everywhere. I liked the original mix better. The original mix had a limited release on CD in Japan only.
The Strawmen (90's) Tim Miner - I Know You Think You Know Kim Boyce - Kim Boyce Kim Boyce - Time & Again High Tops (Musical) Lone Justice - Lone Justice (first album) Rick Cua - "No Mystery" The Lonely Now Omega Sonshine Band Geoff Moore: Over The Edge Barnabas - Approaching Lightspeed Neuvoux (90s) Volz,Greg X. - Come Out Fighting Rich Young Ruler Arkangel-Warrior The Key "Feeling Kinda Special" Elim Hall "Hypothermia"
Songs I am looking for: Gabriel - "It is in Giving"(?) (from prayer by Saint Francis) The Imperials w/ Russ Taff "Into My life" (funky rock)
Tom Howard Ensemble-- the hidden passage was re-released entitled "Sanctuary-Shelter" by Maranatha. It's exactly the same disk, nothing missing. In fact, it imports into Itunes as "the hidden passage." Fourth estate is like $2 on radrockers.com and they also sell the first 4 servant cds. The only ones not available are light maneuvers and swimming in a human ocean. Jerusalem sells their own cds, www.jerusalem.se, so does Greg x Volz, gregxvolz.com. Support these awesome ministries.
the archers "fresh surrender" is now remastered on cd and sold on the site http://www.timarchermusic.com They will have 5 more archers albums there soon.
Great website. I would like to get the first Good News release with Bob Carlisle. The first track was "Tear down the walls". Also does anyone remember the band Labor Of Love? They did one album entitled "Message to the Bands" around the same time as Undercover and Lifesavers. And how about the first Common Bond??
Actually, *both* releases of the Tom Howard Ensemble recording are out of print. iTunes only carries The Harvest, but none of the other two Tom Howard Colours releases--else, I'd purchase it gladly.
On the other hand, when it comes to supporting artists... I have to question why the AD records are linked here. All AD and Kerry Livgren releases are available either to download on iTunes or to purchase directly from Kerry's website.
there are a few! btw, i have a hard drive that needs a new part, when i get that new part, it will work again, and i have access to a TON of classic stuff. So, once its up, i can share some mp3s with you for your site. Great site btw, take care
Labor of Love was led by Mark Kirschak, the original lead singer of The Lifesavors (on Us Kids). It's has great songs despite lacking in production. I have it on LP but have no way to transfer yet. When I do i will. The song you mentioned got some airplay on the world famous KROQ in So Cal.
I second Youth Choir's "Voices in Shadows" and third Servant's "World of Sand". I'd also like to add Servant's "Shallow Water". Have those all on vinyl, but it's a pain to digitize them. Also, just picked up Tonio K's "Notes From the Lost Civilization" on cassette (at a thrift store, no less!), and would like to get a 192K or better rip of that for ye olde iPod.
Handel's Young Messiah (the first one, not the second)
Early Kim Boyce
Deitaphobia: The Digital priests remixes
Donderflegan
Whitecross: the one with the black cover the white writing and the white X
That's all I can really think of. Also I have tons of Christian music some of it on your want list, but I don't know how to post, if someone will show me I'll gladly post
All these people asking for Servant over and over. You guys need to go and get great cd copies from CDbaby or radrockers. Also, can download at AMIE street. The releases sound great and the band was involved in getting them reissued! Full cover art and liner notes about all the releases from the founding members of Servant, Owen and Sandie Brock.
All of Greg X Volz's music is on amiestreet as well as Servant. Emusic has a lot of One Bad Pig but not their indie EP. Vox Humana is at danielamos.com and all of Livgren's is available on his site. IMO if the band is still maintaining a site, re-releasing materisl or still recording then support them. If u ever get a chance to see Mike Roe, Terry Taylor or Lost Dogs in concert they sell custom cd-rs of their cds.
>>>>> In the USA most (if not all) of this material is protected under copyright law, whether it is in print or not. >>>>>
Wow, really? Are you an attorney? With your astounding grasp of the law you must have a law degree, else how could you so clearly understand such a fine point of the law?
Two Pound Planet (Any album) Elim Hall (Any Album) ACM Journal Sampler Volume I Storyville Sampler (Any of them) Metro One Sampler Volume I Jars of Clay (Demo)
United States Copyright law is outdated and has been exploited by private interests. Many of these titles should return to public domain, but the industry keeps extending the duration so they can make more money and bilk the public for what belongs to them. Creative Commons is much more efficient in allowing free access to content, while insuring that artists protect their intellectual properties. In the United States there are Fair Use laws and Public Domain. Which is why you can go to the public library and check out a Beatles album. I see much of what is published here as being educational. However, I thought this was the want list, not rag on copyright forum?
I would love to see Traxter's Rock-n-Race, Mercy Rule's Overruled, or ANY of that rare mid to late 80's "white metal" that is such a delight...particularly any of the releases by Paragon! I think they were called Dead or Alive and Just Believe. They were the best band that no one ever heard of. Also, Taker and Armada were very good...
...I think that these will make at least one person very happy.
77's anyone? I just found this link to this long out-of-print album by them, the 1984 masterpiece 'All Fall Down' http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8PLWO141
And for the ultimate music experience, one of the great opuses of the world of ccm.
Daniel Amos's first 3 volumes of the iALARMA! CHRONICLES!
It'd be awesome if someone could post the Steve Taylor tribute R.E.X. did called "I Predict A Clone." It has some pretty cool bands like DigHayZoose, Deliverance, Bride, and Hot Pink Turtle covering Steve's songs.
Hey guys, there's some great stuff at www.christiandl.com, you just have to register with your email but it's free. I just downloaded every David & the Giants album, as well as Cross's Metal From Above :D
Looking for late 1980's band called "Sacred Fire" Maybe that was the name of the album, not sure. Iremember wearing out my cassette and loved the music. Can anyone help me find this lost love of mine?
I totally forgot about Solid Rock. I had the Reel 2 Reel album and wore it out fast. The song Blind Lead The Blind was unreal, and I remember the song Wheel Of Fortune also.
If anybody has this album or the first one mentioned. please share it. I tried to find it on ebay and the music sites. Nobody has it. If I remember right it was on a small label.
Here is one maybe a few might remember... The band "Modern Mission" the album was one of my favorites in the 80's. I lost it years ago and have not found a copy since. Songs included... Magazine, Crying Out to You, and Never Let Me Go. If anyone has it I would love a copy!
I agree on the Modern Mission. Wore that puppy out fast when I had it.
Thank you for the Ishmael United, Moral Support and Weber albums also.
I agree with the guys asking for Solid Rock. I also had their albums and will never understand why they were not a hit. Yes, they were on a small label out of Oklahoma and if they got airplay they would have been big.
Another obscurity is Brial Elroy McKinley. Had a 6 song EP which I do not remember the name of, but a song called Antideluvian has stuck in my head for about 20 years now.
H5 Johnny!!!! Thanx 4 the funk - Bob and Pauline early Seawind days!!! ....whoops I 8 my foot!!!! Been enjoying Maria Malduar! Seawind has their Reunion album out .. AT LAST! Bob and Pauline have both done so much great music...not asking, just enjoying what great work you have done. Jesus has made our lives so full, that even if all this had never happened :Jesus Music: -- narp!
Agape to all.
Early rockers... Agape, and All Jesus Freak Band (might be some good sounds to get into ??? )
I just got a call from Bob & Jane Farrell's neighbor who gave my email address to Bob. He emailed me about Farrell & Farrell - Manifesto. I was asking him if it was in print he said no. He did offer to burn me a copy for 20 bucks. (I thought that was funny). At the moment the extra 20 bucks for a want isn't in the budget. Does anyone have this to upload to flipsidemn. Thanks
Sacred Fire from the early 80's...Somebody's gotta have this. I remember so many of these artists here, the original start-ups to what Christian music is today! Does anyone remember this band? I'm desperate to find them again. ~Gary

ReplyDeleteAlso would like to see Sparrow's 10th Anniversary. I've been looking for a copy of that since the late 1980's and would be grateful for anyone who knows how to find a copy.
I'll second on the Holidays albums.
ReplyDeleteI had Talking Drums on LP years ago. I remember a Eurythmics (sp?) sound.
B.J. Thomas "Home Where I Belong"
Evie "Mirror"
Stryper-Yellow & Black Attack---NOT the remixed version available on CD everywhere. I liked the original mix better. The original mix had a limited release on CD in Japan only.

Kerry Livgren / AD Timeline:

Tom Howard Ensemble-- the hidden passage was re-released entitled "Sanctuary-Shelter" by Maranatha. It's exactly the same disk, nothing missing. In fact, it imports into Itunes as "the hidden passage."
ReplyDeleteFourth estate is like $2 on radrockers.com and they also sell the first 4 servant cds. The only ones not available are light maneuvers and swimming in a human ocean. Jerusalem sells their own cds, www.jerusalem.se, so does Greg x Volz, gregxvolz.com. Support these awesome ministries.
Randy Matthews - Now do You Understand?
ReplyDeleteKerry Livegren - seeds of change - I think it is titles
the archers "fresh surrender" is now remastered on cd and sold on the site http://www.timarchermusic.com They will have 5 more archers albums there soon.

ReplyDeleteAs well Dannibelle Hall - This Moment. Thanks
Hi Guys...I would love to see some post of music my Jessy Dixon from the 70's and 80's only.
ReplyDeleteand as well
Dannibelle Hall - This moment.
Andre Crouch - Just Andre
How about the A&M Version of Charlie Peacock's "Lie Down in the Grass"? I want the two songs that aren't on the Word release.
ReplyDeleteAlso, many of the requested titles are on itunes, such as the Leslie Phillips albums.
Imperials' "Stand By The Power" was available for a time from the Imperials, but I guess it isn't any longer.
ReplyDeleteCindy Cruse
ReplyDeleteI had this on cassette many years ago. It was an album full of songs in the style of Janet Jackson's "Black Cat". Think you can track this one down?
Actually, *both* releases of the Tom Howard Ensemble recording are out of print. iTunes only carries The Harvest, but none of the other two Tom Howard Colours releases--else, I'd purchase it gladly.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, when it comes to supporting artists... I have to question why the AD records are linked here. All AD and Kerry Livgren releases are available either to download on iTunes or to purchase directly from Kerry's website.
Looking for Messenger - "The New has Come"
ReplyDeleteRick Riso was in a band named Messenger. I have the album "Bringin' the Message" I'm looking the for "The New Has Come"

Sorry I do not have the Randy Matthews album. But I do have several of his albums.
God Bless.
would love to find :
ReplyDeleteHOLM, SHEPPARD, JOHNSON - both albums, ESPECIALLY THE FIRST ONE WITH "DRAWIN' FROM THE WELL" on it.
the Imperials "Sail On" album
thanks.
ReplyDeleteI second Youth Choir's "Voices in Shadows" and third Servant's "World of Sand".

I found this blog, but wanted to caution...is this legal to share? Some of these albums may not be out of print, and is it really ours to share?
ReplyDeleteYes it is legal to share if it's hard to get, deleted, out of print and some ridiculously expensive.
ReplyDeleteHere are a few that I would Like

Our Christmas
Handel's Young Messiah (the first one, not the second)
Early Kim Boyce
Deitaphobia: The Digital priests remixes

Whitecross: the one with the black cover the white writing and the white X
That's all I can really think of. Also I have tons of Christian music some of it on your want list, but I don't know how to post, if someone will show me I'll gladly post
I just thought of a few more

ReplyDeleteYOU CAN GET SERVANT CD'S AND MP3'S AT: CD BABY
ReplyDeleteAll these people asking for Servant over and over. You guys need to go and get great cd copies from CDbaby or radrockers. Also, can download at AMIE street. The releases sound great and the band was involved in getting them reissued! Full cover art and liner notes about all the releases from the founding members of Servant, Owen and Sandie Brock.
ReplyDeleteAll of Greg X Volz's music is on amiestreet as well as Servant.
ReplyDelete2 More I forgot
ReplyDeleteThe Holidays: The Holidays

thanks to everyone for sharing. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi! Cool blog! Looking for David Baroni's 'carry the torch' and 'promised land'..Anyone thx!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Traxter's Rock-n-Race, Mercy Rule's Overruled, or ANY of that rare mid to late 80's "white metal" that is such a delight...particularly any of the releases by Paragon! I think they were called Dead or Alive and Just Believe. They were the best band that no one ever heard of. Also, Taker and Armada were very good...
ReplyDelete...I think that these will make at least one person very happy.
ReplyDelete77's anyone? I just found this link to this long out-of-print album by them, the 1984 masterpiece 'All Fall Down'
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8PLWO141
And for the ultimate music experience, one of the great opuses of the world of ccm.

Listen to 'em all consecutively! Life will never be the same ;)
It'd be awesome if someone could post the Steve Taylor tribute R.E.X. did called "I Predict A Clone." It has some pretty cool bands like DigHayZoose, Deliverance, Bride, and Hot Pink Turtle covering Steve's songs.
ReplyDeleteLove The Blog Johnny! - I'm looking for a group from the late 70's into the early 80's called "The Renaissance"
ReplyDeleteHey guys, there's some great stuff at www.christiandl.com, you just have to register with your email but it's free. I just downloaded every David & the Giants album, as well as Cross's Metal From Above :D
ReplyDeleteLooking for late 1980's band called "Sacred Fire" Maybe that was the name of the album, not sure. Iremember wearing out my cassette and loved the music. Can anyone help me find this lost love of mine?
ReplyDeleteI totally forgot about Solid Rock. I had the Reel 2 Reel album and wore it out fast. The song Blind Lead The Blind was unreal, and I remember the song Wheel Of Fortune also.
ReplyDeleteIf anybody has this album or the first one mentioned. please share it. I tried to find it on ebay and the music sites. Nobody has it. If I remember right it was on a small label.
Here's Mylon's Look Up album...if someone could re-up it soon 'cuz Rapidshare only gives it 10 downloads...

I second the City Limits project!
ReplyDeleteHere is one maybe a few might remember... The band "Modern Mission" the album was one of my favorites in the 80's. I lost it years ago and have not found a copy since. Songs included... Magazine, Crying Out to You, and Never Let Me Go. If anyone has it I would love a copy!
ReplyDeleteModern Mission has already been posted on this blog. Just do a search in the top, left-hand corner for "Modern Mission."
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree, this is a great disc, one which I thought I'd never hear again!

Four by Charlie Peacock - The Way Of Love, Everything That's On My Mind, Strangelanguage, Kingdom Come
ReplyDeleteThanks for looking!
How about Farrell & Farrell's Live album - Let the Whole World Know. I am also looking for Farrell & Farrell's Manifesto.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have "Rock Around the World" by Various Artists on Refuge Records. It has an alternate mix of "Home Permanent" by Daniel Amos.
ReplyDeleteThe other is the UK version of "Horrendous Disc" by Daniel Amos.
I agree on the Modern Mission. Wore that puppy out fast when I had it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the Ishmael United, Moral Support and Weber albums also.
Thanks for this blog. You have a loyal fan here.

Thanks
