Great Album But the Link is not working.
Should work now......
Fantastic album... on my top 10 CDs list. I just wish they had stuck together and made more.
This album confounded me. You had Steve Taylor at his most focused and least snarky, a tight backing group and Dave Perkins to boot. The CCM crowd rejected it because it was so different from Taylor's often sarcastic usual delivery. The general public dismissed it because MCA, the label that released this, barely tried to promote it and when they tried, they tripped over their ineptitude.
It's a shame. After this, Taylor made Squint, very much a hybrid of his former style and Guevara's raw energy, a live album, then proceeded to confine himself to the production end.
Great band. Saw them perform live at Cornerstone and knew then it was a once-in-a-lifetime show. Wish they would have stuck with it a little longer. MCA was starting to come apart about then. Bad timing.
