I'm having a difficult time remembering his name -- he was a good friend of mine 20 years ago -- but this sounds remarkably like an old buddy of mine from Harrisonburg, VA in the 1990s. Tony Roberts -- that was his name. He added some Hammond organ under his though. He had 2 really great songs, one of which was called "My Town" and I can't remember the name of the other but it was a Christian love song.
